MUSTARD BATHS: FOR SOARING FEET AND MORE ๐
Mustard baths are a hydrotherapy method of physiotherapy, which consists in the use of a general or local hot bath with the addition of mustard powder. Why it works and how to benefit from it.
Let's start with the effect of common baths with the addition of mustard powder. From the physiotherapy textbook: "Having a pronounced irritating effect, mustard baths cause hyperemia, improve blood flow, increase sweating. Reflexively improves blood flow in the internal organs, metabolism, weakens the spasm of smooth muscles, reduces blood pressure. They reduce heart rate and deepen breathing, reduce the excitability of the nervous system."

▪️It is optimal to take baths for everyone who is constantly freezing, who has always cold arms and legs. Mustard baths increase tissue and capillary circulation.
▪️Mustard baths improve your mood well due to the action of mustard essential oils, a warming and relaxing effect.
▪️If you are freezing, such a bath will help you warm up and minimize the chances of getting sick.
▪️If you have a runny nose and cough, but without temperature, the bath will help reduce the swelling of the mucous membranes. Due to essential oils, it also has an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effect.
CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR MUSTARD BATHS

▪️Women during menstruation,

HOW TO TAKE MUSTARD BATHS ๐
In order not to get burns of the mucous membranes of the lower body due to accidental deviation from the recipe, optimally lubricate them with vaseline or jojoba oil and put cotton panties on top.
If you have never taken turpentine baths and have just learned about the benefits of water procedures, make a trial bath with 1⁄2 serving.
1. Pour 50-60g of mustard in a separate container with water at a temperature of 50-70 degrees, leave for 30-40 minutes.
2. Get the bath in half! This is important because the breasts should not be immersed in water. The water temperature is 35-38 degrees, in the process you can add it warmer.
3. Put 1 glass of baking soda in the bath, stir. Soda is necessary to create a more alkaline environment in which mustard essential oils will be better manifested.
4. Pour steamed mustard slurry into the bath.
5. Immerse yourself in the water, warm up for 15 minutes. There may not be a burning sensation, it's normal, since there's not much mustard.
❗️After the bath, rinse the body with warm water, put on socks and pajamas, go to bed, cover yourself with a blanket and sweat! DO NOT walk around the apartment after taking a mustard bath.❗️
